
Haus Rabenhorst's business activities
From wine to fruit juice to healthy food
It all started with wine about 200 years ago when Priest Lauffs, the founding father of Haus Rabenhorst, opened his vineyard in Oberwinter. Many years later pasteurising technology made it possible to preserve grape juice and to offer "non-alcoholic" wine. Since then the company has developed into a specialist producer of highly-valued natural fruit and vegetable juices.
Producing natural untreated juices is still Haus Rabenhorst's core business activity. In the 1990s, however, the company decided to expand its business activities from its "healthy beverage" base and today is specialised right across the market for natural and healthy food.
In addition to the juices, the majority of which are pressed by Haus Rabenhorst itself, the company also markets special pastries and biscuits such as its gluten-free 3 Pauly brand products and a range of organic wine from committed winegrowers. Altogether, Haus Rabenhorst distributes some 400 different premium products for sale in special health food shops (German “Reformhäuser”), chemists and health food shops.
